Strathtyrum House is situated on its own estate opposite the famous Old Course at St Andrews with which it shares a rich history. Strathtyrum, one of Scotland's finest Country Houses, was built in 1782 for the Cheape Family and is still owned by them today. The house has recently been completely refurbished offering accommodation of the highest standard for up to 13 guests.
The decorations and furnishings are traditional, in keeping with the period of this historic house, yet homely with mementoes of family history in every room. Whether a golfer or visitor to St Andrews, to stay at Strathtyrum is an experience, for to enter the house is to enter one of the great sanctums in the history of golf.

Guests have exclusive use of Strathtyrum House, probably the finest accommodation of its type in St Andrews, offering a home from home atmosphere unmatched by most hotels. The Drawing Room and entrance Hall offer a warm welcome with their roaring log fires. Dinner is served in the dining-room using the family silver and where many family portraits by Sir Henry Raeburn and Alan Ramsay hang.
All 4 courses are made from fresh local produce and complemented by the house wine. Strathtyrum House offers luxurious accommodation in St Andrews and will sleep up to 13 persons in 5 Twin rooms, 1 Double room and 1 Single room. All bedroom accommodation has either en-suite or private bathrooms, are centrally heated as well as being furnished and decorated in exquisite style.

A Scottish Wedding Venue doesn't come any finer than Strathtyrum House in St Andrews. This elegant country house gardens provide a unique and memorable way to celebrate your special day in style. The wedding party can enjoy exclusive use of the house and additionally the four acre, newly restored walled garden.
The house can cater for wedding parties of up to 22 guests seated or 60 buffet style. For larger parties, a marquee is erected in the walled garden. If you require additional accommodation for your guests, we can also recommend local hotels or B and B's. The house is for hire on an exclusive basis with full use of all facilities and our dedicated management team to ensure your corporate event or function is one to remember. |

Strathtyrum for Meetings & Conferences |
Strathtyrum is available for meetings and conferences. Our largest meeting room can accommodate up to 20 delegates boardroom style. Comfortable and relaxing break out or syndicate rooms are also available and they double up as reception rooms in the evening. Residential accommodation, for up to 12 delegates (sharing) or up to 7 delegates (separate rooms), is available on request. If you require additional accommodation for delegates, this can be arranged locally.
Marquee Hire for Large Conferences and Corporate Golf Events
Marquees for larger conferences and corporate events can be erected in the walled garden. Also corporate events along side golfing events at St. Andrews may reserve these facilities so that they may be in easy reach of any of the golfing competitions on the famous St. Andrew's Courses. Strathtyrum is the ideal base for the 2005 British Golf Open taking place at the Old Course St. Andrews.
