Library, Drawing & Dining Room |
The Library is the most splendid setting for a drinks reception, with a roaring log fire and an ornate ceiling by William Burn from 1842. From the Library, through the large double doors is The Drawing Room, now used for dancing and large presentations.
Glass doors open out onto the lawns to the south and west of the Castle. The Dining Room is one of the most impressive rooms in Scotland with an ornate plaster ceiling created by Robert Adam in 1780. Candlelit dinners in this room are a grand affair, with the finest cuisine and glorious wines.

Activities at Oxenfoord Castle |
The grounds at Oxenfoord Castle are extensive and activities include a croquet lawn and two tennis courts. With 68 acres of park and woodland many activities can be arranged on site through our agents. Recent activities have included quad biking. 'It's a Knockout', falconry, team building, off-road driving, clay pigeon shooting, paint-balling, archery, target golf and many more.
Within the Castle itself, we are able to hold various themed events, which can include wine tastings, malt whisky master classes, casinos, murder mystery evenings or a traditional Scottish evening complete with 'The Beating of Retreat' in front of the Castle. |
