The Old Course Hotel Golf Resort & Spa - is having an extensive investment programme in the spa. It has dramatically transformed it into one of Europe 's most advanced concepts in total well-being. Many of the outstanding new facilities are now available as follows:

New Fitness Studio featuring a floor to ceiling mirrored wall and offering classes such as ‘Spinning ‘ and ‘Stretch & Flex'.

Phase 2 – Mid-July to the end December 2005:

• New 19.5 metre Swimming Pool with Waterfall
• New Male Locker Room with crystal steam heat experience
• Pedicure thrones in the Nail Studio
• Additional six treatment rooms, including a ‘Together Suite' for couples, bringing the total number of treatment rooms to 10. Two of these new rooms will offer Kohler branded whirlpool bathing products and Vichy Showers
• Thermal Suite with Hydro Pool , communal Heat Experience Cabins offering a Sunarium and a Japanese Salt Inhalation Steam Experience, Cold Plunge Pool, Ice Fountain , and Monsoon Showers releasing fragrance and lighting offering a range of different types of simulation from Tropical Downpours to fine Scotch Mist.
• Deep Relaxation Area

From mid-July until the end of the year the existing pool will be unavailable to guests whilst the new pool and thermal suite are introduced.

The Old Course Hotel offers some of the most luxurious accommodation in Scotland and has a total of 134 rooms made up of 114 bedrooms and 32 suites. Our rooms have been designed to offer a welcoming haven where contemporary fabrics enhance the soft furnishings and marble brings a cooling touch to the bathrooms.

 

All rooms have either the priceless view over the Old Course towards the St Andrews coastline or look out across the fields and hills of Fife . The spacious suites are some of the largest in the world and give fine panoramic views over the links courses to the sea.

 

Each room has television, direct-dial telephones, hairdryers, iron and ironing board, mini-bar and tea and coffee making facilities. All suites have CD players and some also have a whirlpool bath. Wireless connectivity is also available in all bedrooms and throughout the resort.

 

• The Road Hole Grill offers an intimate fine-dining experience using the very best of Scottish and organic produce, complemented by an extensive wine list.
• Sands Restaurant offers a menu with dishes from the deep cold of the North Atlantic to the radiant warmth of the Mediterranean . New World wines and beers are featured alongside mini-champagne, classic cocktails and a martini bar.
• The Conservatory serves Champagne and traditional Afternoon Tea on Saturdays and Sundays. (Available in Sands Lounge midweek).
• Duke's Restaurant & Bar at the Duke's Course clubhouse features a menu of creative and tempting Scottish cuisine.
• The Jigger Inn offers casual, authentic, pub-style dining. Perfect for guests interested in sampling the range of Celtic draught and bottled beers along with some simple home-style cooking.
